The return of Voyager was just the beginning. 13 years later the Federation and its technology improved. After Voyager came home Starfleet went over the data they had and improved upon their technology. Now after those 13 years the Federation has decided to send another ship back to the Delta Quadrant to gather more information and map out regions that Voyager did not get to. Xena had been in the security office reading up on reports left by the other officers while monitoring the current situation the crew was in. It didn't seem much of a good one either, well unless they wanted to test out each officers mind in a scenario where everything was at risk; sort of like the phyce test in the academy, but not a simulated performance.
She then heard a call from the captain. An order to report to the transporter room. They couldn't have gotten close enough yet for a transport, right? Well, either way it didn't matter. Xena had been called to duty. Checking her phaser, and readjusting the stun setting to medium, just in case, Xena took off to the transporter room.
