Krysta was off. Off of work, and needing a rest. Instead of going to the Portal Inn, The Talaxian Cafe, or one of the holodecks, Krysta was on her way to her quarters to get some well deserved sleep. Today had been an unusually busy day in the shop. Not to mention some of the hullabaloo that took place outside today. Krys rolled her green eyes as she walked along, getting lost completely in her thoughts.

Celestia was rather beat, but she still had a few things to do. With Arthur, or rather Commander Ashbury away her workload had doubled. Though it felt more like tripled or quadrupled. Perhaps half of that came from missing him. It was hard not too, and it wasn't because of the extra workload.
With a soft sigh Celestia continued walking along reading a PADD that was in her hand. Was it possible for your fingers to get cramped from scrolling through so many PADDS? So engrossed was she Celestia didn't notice another person until it was too late; a collision course unavoidable. "So sorry." Celestia apologized to... well to whomever it was she had run into.

"Hey! Watch where-" Krysta said after she got knocked back, and stumbled back. Thankfully her eyes got a look at who it was she had collided with before she even finished her sentence. At first she was stunned and a tad speechless. How many people literally collided with the stations first officer, and almost told her what for?
"Um, yeah." Krysta started. "Me too." Krysta bent down and picked up one of the lieutenant commanders PADDS. "Here."

"Hey! Watch where-"
Celestia arched a brow. Was that an attitude? Even after she apologized? Well, good thing this woman was not part of the Starfleet roster. “Oh?” Celestia eyed the young woman. Celestia’s brown eyes glanced at the PADD when it was handed back to her. After a minute or two Celestia accepted it back. “Thank you.”
“What’s your name miss…” Celestia inquired, breaking off on the end allowing for a pause so the young girl, or woman could interject with her name

“What’s your name miss…”
"Krysta O' Conner. And how did you know I was a 'miss'?" Sure most of the women in Starfleet were single, but Krysta was not a member of Starfleet; not that she didn't find it intriguing. That life was not exactly for her, at least not right now. "I'm sorry I started to get a bit snippy with you," Krysta began apologetically. "things were just a little hectic today." I'm sure you know the feeling. Krysta added in thought.
Not everyone was stupid. Some people knew the commander was gone at the moment. Also a few others could see how this redheaded lieutenant commander felt; well the women anyhow, and the barkeep of the Portal Inn.

"Oh, it was just a guess." Celestia replied with a wave of the hand. "Besides, you do rather look a bit on the young side." It never ceased to amaze Celestia that some people still looked like young teenagers when they were adults. Actually she had met a woman that was in her 60s, but yet looked like she was in her 20s, and the most amazing part of all was that the woman did not have any work done. The youthful look was just natural.
"things were just a little hectic today."
So they were hectic. Fair enough. Some people did get a bit snippy when things were rough or hectic. Some people went out of their minds. "I can relate. So, what do you do on the station?" Celestia inquired.

"Good guess." Krysta replied casually as she flipped some hair back over her shoulder. Then the question was asked what she did on the station. Not a surprise, really. "Oh, I'm a seamstress. I make patters, clothes, tailor..." Krysta trailed off a bit. "Most by hand, which is the fun part as anyone can have the computer make something." Well, that was true.

Seamstress? They were certainly rare this day and age. Sewing was partially a lost art. "Sounds interesting." Celestia commented as Krysta listed things she did. "I don't even think I'd have the patience to learn." Celestia then glanced down at a PADD she had yet to read.
"Well Miss O' Conner, it was nice meeting you, and I'll be sure to stop by the shop sometime." Celestia looked back at Krysta. "But I have something to attend to." With that Celestia rushed off to take care of some unfinished business.

With those words the lieutenant commander was gone. It was short, unplanned meet, but was semi-interesting. Krysta didn't say anything as Celestia left. She simply waited until the woman was on her way before Krysta continued on hers. Off to her quarters!
