I never understood why the writers did paired up Chakotay and Seven. I mean in one episode "Human Error" we see Seven in the holodeck having a romance with a holographic Chakotay. That is the only hint of romance between the two or rather just Seven and a programed character.
Then in "Endgame" the very last episode of Voyager Seven and Chakotay are a couple. Might I point out that neither dated or told the other they had romantic feelings for each other before "Endgame" or in any other episode.
I think they should have stuck with Janeway and Chakotay,and have had a two sided romantic relationship with the Doctor and Seven of Nine. That would have been the best route in my personal opinion.
Through out the series they always played around and hinted with a Janeway/Chakotay romantic relationship. Of course they couldn't have dated or simply paired off like Tom and B'Elanna. But the chemistry was there.
I was disappointed that the Doc didn't tell Seven how he felt in "Someone To Watch Over Me".
What are your thoughts?
