Fountain Of Youth
After a time in space, and after their last away mission the crew finds themselves beginning to run low on a few supplies. So, they stop in orbit of a planet filled with bunches of fruit and veggies, no life other than the plants. They beam down to collect some of the food because of their long journey and need to stock up on reserves. It will help save power. Unbeknown to the crew of the USS Orion is that one of the foods makes you think and act like a child again.
So, they're all playing tag, skipping rope, etc. They even go back to dressing like children along with using childish talk. No species is immune. Eventually the side effect of the food wears off, and gets out of the system after a few days. Of course the lasting effect of the food varies upon the race. A doctor might be required.
After the crew is back to normal they simply wonder why they are dressed like children, etc. They have no real memory of how it all happened. Just vague child-like conversations. A mystery to be solved later on; more than likely by the science division...on another day.
