"Well yeah I could have done that and was very tempted but then if I did that love, then I would have had the chance to meet you and that would have been something that I would never have forgiven my self for."

Charity laughed brightly. "That, as my stepfather would say is illogical!" She giggled. "You can't forgive yourself for something that never would have happened. Unless of course ya have a way to see into the future so ya know what would and would not happen." Was she even making any sense? The concept of time. Or concepts.

"Great, glad that you forgive me, it would just shatter me to pieces if you did not."

"Are you scheming?" She could not help the question. Charity had watched a few of the young men and woman on campus interact with one another, simply because it could be quite amusing. The silly things some of them would say and do. It was no wonder people needed head shrinkers! All them Cowboy Casanovas out there. She suspected Magnus might be one of them.

"Oh yes I am very much scheming. I'll tell you what I am scheming though, you and me, hand in hand, dinner tonight. Say yes hun?" Magnus said hands still wrapped about her waist holding her hands. He was so happy right now. He might have to start dancing.

Well this has to be a new record. Charity thought to herself. How many times have our lips met now? They still hardly knew each other. The only things so far that were known by both was: names, departments, and the fact that Charity had gotten lost. Yet here they were; sparkin'. Well actually according to customs it's the man that does the sparkin'. "Like, when did I ever say you were logical? Psh! Who wants to be logical anyways? It's no fun! Really, it isn't."

"Hun?" Charity giggled again. "As if! I much rather be called by name than by something one might confuse with sticky stuff." Dinner did sound somewhat appealing though. "First you'll have to tell me where, and not to expect me on time. Not because I'm lazy. More so because I have the most worse sense of direction ever! Pray, if we ever go someplace ya don't get me as a partner to help find a transport or landing sight."

"Hun?" Charity giggled again. "As if! I much rather be called by name than by something one might confuse with sticky stuff."

"Alright, alright love, wait, how about that, why don't I call you love, nice term of endearment. And a lovely nick name for a lovely woman. " He said emphasizing it with a smile that could quicken your pulse and cause butterflies in your stomach. He did not want to let her go to astrometrics in the slightest, but he knew he would have to eventually. Hes made up his mind he would walk her there. That way he would get to see more of her and so the poor thing wouldn't get lost.

"First you'll have to tell me where, and not to expect me on time. Not because I'm lazy. More so because I have the most worse sense of direction ever! Pray, if we ever go someplace ya don't get me as a partner to help find a transport or landing sight."

"Well if you wanted a more intimate venue I could cook you dinner at your place, or mine. But if you wanted a more...public venue than I would recommend The Portal Inn. Personally I am hoping that you choose the more intimate venue. I would very much like some more alone time with you....maybe get to know you better, depending on how the evening gos, maybe much better." And there he said it. Well he always lived by the credo fortune favors the bold, and that was as bout a bold a statement he could have made. He subtly tightened his face muscles up expecting a slap. He was really hoping that she would be like minded.

Way quick to think those things and that it was the right choice. There was a whole lot more to her than what he had seen. Charity was... well she was different. People were more than what they seemed; most certainly was so with Charity. Perhaps they should have dinner.

Charity giggled again. The nick name he had picked out ironically happened to be the meaning of her name. "I don't know if anyone told ya, but 'love' is my name! The two: Charity and love are two in the same! Not that I mind, it just seems a little crazy!" You're one that should so not talk about what is crazy! Charity lightly shook her head; twas a little habit. She was so used to shaking her long blonde hair away since she was little that she did it even when it was tied up. Sometimes she didn't even know she was doing it.

"Dude, I'm all totally for a meal in my quarters, but I am so totally not sleeping with you!" That was one thing that had to made as clear as possible. As far as she was personally concerned she and Magnus were not a couple. She was still single, well according to her. There were a few Vulcans that called her a widow and still claimed her as a daughter in law...despite how super illogical Charity was. The how and why to this particular story was quite...amazing; for a mild term.

"We can chow at my pad." Charity stood up. "Now I really must skadoo."

Thats pretty cool, when I was a kid people called me Magie because my name is Magnus. That was a blast. And no you can not call me Maggie, well you can, but there is a stipulation that gos to that. "Fine then, a meal in your quarters it is. I'm to much of a gentleman to pressure you for sex, so I shall simply say ok and do you like pasta? Because tonight I'm cooking for you. Oh, and what time should I show up? Also would you like me to accompany you to astrometrics?"

And lets see... "Yes. Nine. Yes." Charity answered the questions rapidly like a checklist, with a smile as she headed to the door.

"No, no, I'm terran sadly. Some people are just mean is all. I prefer to be called Magnus, or Leon. Leon is my middle name. Magnus Leon Wilson. Yep, and what a fun loving guy I am too. Heh heh. Last time I checked I was definitely not feminine." Magnus said laughing lightly.

"Well love I suppose I could lie and say that yes I am suffering and your lovely whiles are the only cure, I would feel bed for lieing to a young woman as beautiful as you. Any how, shall escort you to Astrometrics and dinner at nine at your place. Got ya!" Magnus said smiling and offering her his arm.

Right now she was personally content to be single, but she didn't want to say anything about it; right now. "Totally." Charity replied with a smile as she took his arm. "Lead the way."

When exactly was a lie ever a good thing? Charity didn't agree with said comment in the slightest. Besides, not telling the truth was wrong. The only time misleading a person was acceptable would be like if a surprise party was being thrown and the guest of honor needed to be out of the way.

Well now it was off to Astrometrics. No more feeling like a hamster either; well not with a guide.
