Birthplace: Luna (Raised on Andoria since age 5)
Hobbies: Music (piano, flute, clarinet), reading engineering manuals, horseback riding, painting, and ice skating.
Family on board? None.
History/Background/Education Jacklyn was born to two Starfleet officers, on Luna. Her parents had went there on leave to visit family, when her mother went into labor. A few minutes after Jacklyn was born, her mother died due to unrepairable complications. So her father now had the task of raising up a little girl. He did his best, but when leave was over he decided to leave his daughter Jacklyn with his sister, Leah, and her husband Cody.
Nathan Cummings thought space, and other planets too dangerous to introduce his child to. Being brought up on Luna with her Aunt Leah, Uncle Cody, and three cousins; Ryan, Matthew, and Wendy was not too bad. Her father would transmit messages, and visit when possible, so he never left her life. In school Jacklyn excelled quite quickly, and well for someone so young. Eventually though her father came back to get her once her got a better posting, and to every ones surprise, remarried, to an Andorian female.
Jacklyn did not wish to leave, and was not happy about it. But she made no fuss and did as she had been told. All three resided on a space station for a few months before they made their way back to Andoria. Her new mother was nice, or so Jacklyn supposed. The Andorian woman was no match to her Aunt Leah.
When Jacklyn was put into Andorian schools she had a difficult time adjusting, and always seemed to get picked on by someone. Reading, music, and painting were her outlets. Good outlets. She did manage to make one friend that lived on Andoria, and that was a girl named Triana, and she wasn't blue skinned, but white. They didn't get to play together too often, but they always had fun when they did.
As Jacklyn continued to grow she continued to excel in her studies, and decided that she wanted to be a teacher. She wanted to teach young children. She was seventeen when she made that decision. On Andoria she took the teaching courses, and started student teaching. She changed her mind however, to doctoring.
Eventually she changed her mind all together and entered Starfleet Academy. She failed the first time around, but not the second. She took the first year courses, then decided to minor in medical and major in engineering. That way she would be certified to work with the doctors should the need ever arise.
After she graduated the academy Jacklyn was assigned to the USS Flora, then she was assigned to Deep Space Four. When Delta One came about she was reassigned to that project. She was nervous. Who wouldn't be? But per orders she went. Of course, not until she had said good bye to everyone.
Personality Profile: Jacklyn is a little bit on the shy and timid side of things. In addition she is also: Soft spoken, Docile, Generous, Charitable. She really hates to be the center of attention. She is a good listener though. Jacklyn can sit and listen to just about anyone about almost any subject.
Jacklyn isn’t big on conflict either, and she will give people the benefit of the doubt, unless of course she actually sees the person(s) doing something wrong. She will go out of her way to help a friend in need; just don’t make a big fuss over it. Jacklyn loves her work. She loves computers.
Any Special Notes: Broke her right arm when she was 12 years old, falling, after attempting a triple lutz on the ice.

Role-Play Sample: Filling in for the chief engineer. Why? Well, apparently their assistant chief still had to come to the station, or report for duty. (Finding Starfleet officers to be on Delta One must be a near impossible task) It seemed like Jacklyn was next in line in being qualified per her Starfleet Academy record.
"Why couldn't they have had a teacher or medic shortage?" Jacklyn asked quietly to no one in-particular. She would have felt much more at ease. "I guess whatever will be will be." She said to herself as she finished up a panting she was working on in her quarters. After looking her painting over she started to swiftly clean her brushes and put the paint away. Couldn't be late for duty now.
"There." Everything was put away, so out the door Jacklyn went.
Get better soon chief.
