Which do you prefer, the six TOS movies or the four TNG movies? I don't have a preference, but I voted for the TNG movies since I like that starship crew more than the original, though I do like both crews.

I always thought the TOS movies had a more epic feel to them, overall (with the exception of ST:IV, but that was campy and fun anyway). The TNG movies seemed to get progressively more like extra long episodes than movies.

I think I like the TOS movies a little better. They were more comical,and had more of a sense of fun,adventure,and seemed more down to earth.Even if some of them did take place in space.  |

I enjoy the TNG a little more, probably because my father loved that series and that's what I was brought up on.

My daddy was born in 1955 so he was just a kid when TOS came out. That's his favorite series. I grew up watching TNG,they were reruns cause I was not yet born when they started. I really wish they had made a Voyager movie,but that's a different matter.
There was one TNG movie I really liked. It was Insurrection. The slap stick comedy and writing were really good.

I cannot choose between them, I prefer to start with TMP and watch them in marathon style thru Nemesis... although, now I think I can start with the New ST film, the alternate timeline one, and watch all 11 in order... that is what I call a darn good day...

I Hate the JJ film with the new Kirk (that actor was on Disney's Princess Diries 2) and crew. I think it is just awful. I call it blasfamous. And at the theather I actually fell asleep two times cause it was dull...in my opinion. However if anyone wishes to discuss or debate that movie please start a new thread.

I will just have to do that, because in my opinion they added some very cool hero moments in there... not to mention the conversaton between Spock and Himself at the end... EPIC! anyway, I'll just go ahead and start a new thread now  |
