The Two Arrivals
The crew of the USS Orion is surprised when Captain Prince announces that she is being reassigned at her own request. While the crew expectantly awaits the arrival of Captain La'Mara Tiho, the new Commanding Officer, they say goodbye to Captain Prince, whom they served with for a good amount of time now. Commander Hughes is tasked with preparing the transfer of command, but he is a little overwhelmed by the sudden change.
After Captain Tiho boards the Orion and the crew bids farewell to Captain Prince, something unexpected interrupts the first Senior Staff Briefing: the Orion finds a wormhole into the Delta Quadrant, a bit too literally, and is sucked in without having to look for it.
As they enter the Delta Quadrant, they make first contact with the Rathren, a humanoid race with a slightly different nose that gives them a strong sense of smell. Faced with a first contact situation, the Orion finds to their surprise that the Rathren have been in the Alpha Quadrant, and already know the looks (and smell) of humankind...
