History/Background/Education: Charity moved to Vulcan after her 1/3 Betazoid 1/2 Human mother remarried to a Vulcan named T'ral. She was 2 years of age when her father died and 3 when she moved to Vulcan with her mother and new father. Charity attended the Vulcan schools with the rest of the children and found it very difficult to constantly be around people who purged themselves of emotions. She wanted to have fun with the other children and play. She did learn a lot in the Vulcan schools, but she knew they weren't for her. When all the other Vulcan children her age were going through rituals to purge themselves of all emotions she was out doing her own thing.
Always running off to have fun and make up her own games. After all, one can only chill with their mother for so long. She studied as well. Due to her constant running off the Vulcans decided that it best that she go some place else for a while. So her mother took her to Betazed.
She quite enjoyed it there a whole lot. Food was better and people were warm and welcoming. They came at a good time too. She was 12 and her Empathy was starting to develop. She ended up training there for her mental powers which were very limited.
She can only sense extreme emotion, but not at will. She also can only communicate telepathically with other telepaths, however she much prefers verbal communication as mental chat doesn't always get relayed. Eventually she and her mother went back to Vulcan and again she continued her studies there. When a Starfleet ambassador was being hosted at their home during a time of negation she became intrigued and ended up deciding she wanted to be a Starfleet officer.
Charity took the entrance exam to Starfleet Academy when she was 18 and failed the first time around. She decided another try at 19 and succeeded in getting in. It was not smooth sailing from there on out, but it was better than the Vulcan schools. Charity pulled many all nighters to keep up with her classes, but it was worth it. Though when she first got accepted she was not sure what she wanted to do. Security sounded fun, but it was not totally her.
She soon fell into science and found her nitch there with hydroponics, stellar cartography, and astrometrics.
When she didn't have classes she often found herself helping the grounds keepers of the academy, and studying star formations. It was quite nice. Graduation eventually came around and although Charity didn't pass with flying colors she did pass. Her mother was so proud, and her stepfather, well being Vulcan he was simply pleased.
Charity's first assignment was at the Communications Research Center; as an ensign, where they used to hold the pathfinder project. What she did there was map out stellar regions. Kinda cool. She served there for 3 years before moving on to an actual ship; USS Athena. Charity was in stellar cartography there as well.
Another 3 years and she was promoted to lieutenant JG and reassigned to the USS Virgil. On that vessel she served in the Astrometrics lab. After another 4 years she was transferred again to the Delta One. More adventure awaited!
It does not need to be super long or very complex.
Personality Profile: She could be described as the stereotype 'surfer girl' attitude: bubble gum popping, far out sorts. Well, she is quite happy, upbeat, friendly, and has a love; a zest for life! Some people might call her shallow because she is a bit of a material girl, but she is so not shallow: she just likes nice things. Charity is also very loving, loyal, kind, and has trouble thinking before she speaks.
Any Special Notes: She can only sense extreme emotion, and speak telepathically with other telepaths (which she considers rude). Other than that her skills are dormant, lacking...not there.

"Ah!" The jolts the ship was getting was doing no one any good. Consoles sparked some in the astrometrics lab and Charity got tossed around like a rag doll. "If I had wanted to feel sea sick I would have signed onto Starfleets navy core or whatever..." The other jolt sent her flipping over one of the consoles and sliding right out the door. Luckily she didn't slide too far out. Turning on her stomach to get to her feet Charity saw the rubble in the hall. She let out a horrid gasp.
Some how she felt this was all her fault. Where's a chocolate soda when you need one?!" After a few seconds Charity saw a hand sticking out among the not so ship shape corridor. She tapped her combadge as she stood up. "Rescue crews report to...the out side of astrometrics!" Charity said urgently. If anyone got her message or not she was not sure.
Charity did her best to move the rubble out of the way so she could get to whoever was covered. "I'm coming. Hold on." It took all her strength to lift part of the roof. "Denara!" Thank the detities the emergency forcefields are holding...for now anyway. "Denara? Can you hear me?!" Charity looked around. "What's taking them so long?"
