"The Blood" When Charity reveals her pregnancy to Elaine, the Assistant CMO is faced with a huge challenge: the father is a Vulcan. Human and vulcan physiology is incompatible due to the difference in the chemical makeup of blood cells. If she does not come up with a treatment before the baby is born, it will certainly die.
In the meantime, Jethro, Magnus and Mirax call in Cadfael's assistance as they travel to a planet the former Ambassador soon dubs Planet Machiavelli, and must unravel a web of political intrigue to assist in finding the murderer of a diplomat from one of the planet's numerous city-states that happened on the Station.
Arthur, meanwhile, has a problem of his own: Guide Yenos, the Rathren liaison to D1, interrupts a very nice holotime out with Celeste and informs him about the fact that 'something stinks'. Smelling nothing, the Commander finds out that the scent is a very subtile smell that is repugnant to the Rathren. With both Jethro and Magnus gone, Arthur takes it upon himself to get to the bottom of this, and makes a more worrying discovery...

Isn't Spock half human though? XD I think T'Lordia is part human, on the board, too! Maybe something other than Vulcan?

According to Memory Alpha, Spock was an exception. Human blood is iron-based and Vulcan is copper-based, which is incompatible.

I don't know if Batazoids and Vulcans are compatible. Charity isn't a full blooded Human.

This D1 plot has been concluded. A summary of what transpired is this, in brief:
After the Security Team was away to the planet, Guide Yenos complained to Art (just out of an enjoyable afternoon sailing with Celeste) of the smell, which is subtle but repugnant to the Rathren sense of smell, and makes the liasion officer feel sick. It turns out somebody has sabotaged the environmental controls... and the Security Team has been lured away by the assassination. On the planet, they realise this just in time to come racing back and prevent a takeover of Delta One by a consortium of city-states led by the Republic of D'medi. Happy end.
The storyline with Elaine and Charity will continue through the next season.
