[Sharpay Harper]

Sharpay sped into hydroponics the minute the lift doors opened. Puffing out of breath, Sharpay wandered around the room a bit. The blooms on the fruit and vegetables were really pretty. All was quiet. Spotting an empty corner near some pretty pink flowers Sharpay slowly wandered over and slumped down in the corner.

She then drew her knees into her chest, and wrapped her arms around them; leaving her head to rest upon her knees. Sharpay took a little breath, and as she did so, some of her blonde hair slipped over her face.

[Lillian Daniels]

It was very odd. Lilly was slowly noticing changes in the crews behavior. They had all been acting very funny; like...like children, ever since they came back from that planet of which they had beamed down. Why. Why and how come were the questions.

With a shrug Lilly walked into hydroponics as part of her duties on the ship. Once inside she went about looking at the various plants, taking inventory. As she rounded one of the corners she spotted a person in a white shirt and a pink pleaded skirt, and Mary Janes, and a pink hair ribbon. Lilly couldn't tell who it was because of the blonde hair shlepped across her face. Walking over Lilly knelt down.

"Hello there."

[Sharpay Harper]

A voice. Not very familiar, but reckonazible. Sharpay slowly lifted her head to see the face of the person of whom it belonged. After a minute or two the name finally came to mind. "Go away. I want to be left alone." Sharpay told Lilly with a small frown. "People are mean." She stated before hugging herself tighter, and resting her head back down; hair falling over her face again.

[Lillian Daniels]

The girl lifted her head. Lilly was finally able to see her face, and whom she saw, well frankly she was quite surprised! When did Ensign Harper start dressing like a young girl? Even the womans off duty clothes were not as feminine as to what she had on right now. Something however was obviously wrong. Way wrong!

People are mean? That was a curious thing to say. That was not the Ensign Sharpay Harper that Lilly knew. "What happened?" Lilly asked of Sharpay, softly, as she took a spot next to her.

"What happened?"

"Nothing." Shar stated rather insistently. But Lilly continued to gently ask her questions, talk, and almost got up and walked away. That's when Sharpay reached out a grabbed hold of the girl. "Wait." Sharpay took a breath and started dishing everything out, with a few tears. Not soon after Lilly was comfort and console the twenty three year old Starfleet officer. It would have been a very strange sight to see.

A little while later Sharpay was feeling a bit better and pushed the seventeen year old away from her. "I'll see you later." Shar then darted out the door!

[Lillian Daniels]

"I'll see you later."

"Okay. Have fun!" Lilly called out as Ensign Harper left hydroponics. "This is just weird." Lilly said to herself as she stood up. "Maybe I should go to sickbay?" Lilly asked herself. This was just all way too Twilight Zone. What was causing the officers to act like children?

Lilly walked over to a console that was in the hydroponics bay. "Computer, please display the time index from our arrival and departure of the planet New Eden."

There was a beep then the listed times. "Computer, please display the current time."

Another beep. Well, there it was. Strange behavior started happening a few minutes after they had left. Was the whole crew affected? Or just people that went down? Did some air born virus get transported aboard? So many questions. Being a civilian, Lilly didn't have ship wide system access.

"Computer, did Captain Tiho beam down to New Eden?"

"Affirmitive." Came the voice of the computer.

"Did Commander Hughes beam down to New Eden?"

"Negitive." The computer answered.

"Hopefully he is not acting strange." Lilly commented to herself. She then tapped her badge. "Lillian Daniels to Commander Hughes." Please, please answer.

// "Hughes here. Are you alright, Lilly?" //

[Lillian Daniels]

"Actually, that was going to be my question to you, sir." Lilly replied respectfully. She was relieved that he at least sounded like himself. Hopefully he was still acting the way a Starfleet trained adult was suppose to act. Somebody save them if he started acting loopy too! Lilly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I know strange things happen in the life of Starfleet officers, but I never expected to console one. I found a time window for the childish going-ons..." Lilly balled each hand into a fist as she tapped one upon the other as she started to pace. "Thought it might be important. Given the circumstances, would you like me to report to sickbay?"

// "Lilly, here's what I want you to do," he said, warmly encouraging. "Go to sickbay and activate the EMH, then create a visual commlink with the Bridge, so that we four can speak." //

The young girl stopped pacing, and fidgeting with her hands when she heard Commander Hughes voice over her bade; not to mention a solid sounding plan. So far it appeared he was not infected. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Looks like it was off to sickbay. "Yes sir." Was Lilly's reply.

She swiftly left hydroponics to fulfill her given, logical orders. Was she nervous? Yes. Could she do what she had been told? Yes. But that didn't help calm her any. How do you expect to become a Starfleet officer if you can't stay calm through this? Lilly asked herself as she made her way to sickbay.
