Ryanna was at her station ever since she had left sickbay, which was quite a bit ago. She was about to go on break when she heard the blue alert. So much for break. Ryanna didn't mind however, she loved her job she really did. While at her post a little beeping sound came from the station behind her.
It was current unmanned, so curiosity intact Ryanna went over, tapped a few buttons and saw a rather disturbing reading. It was about the Klingon vessel. It was shifting in and out of phase, Ryanna wasn't quite sure why but being a woman of science, and not to mention a book worm she had a good idea.
Tapping her badge Ryanna decided to grab the attention of the bridge.
"Lieutenant Denali to bridge. I'm picking up some strange readings from the Klingon vessel. It seems to be shifting in and out of phase with us, it's a wonder we picked up their distress call."
Ryanna tapped away looking over the readings once more.
"I think I may have an idea for why they are shifting in and out of phase with us, but to be honest I'm not one hundred percent sure."

After getting the captains message Ryanna transferred her readings to the bridge and engineering. She hoped that they would be of good use to all members that got hold of the information. This was all a little tricky, the information, and how to fix it all. Then she got a message from her boss. Had she forgotten to send the information to the science station on the bridge?
"Yes sir." Ryanna said respectfully as she quickly went over once more. "I believe that the Klingon vessel might have gotten caught in something similar to a subspace divergence field or as others may call it, a spatial scission. As you know it duplicates all matter except antimatter. If that was all we could just simply try emitting simultaneous resonance pulses, but then it also seems like it may also have an event horizon with in, which needless to say is very weird."
Ryanna walked over to another console and began pulling up information.
"If the shuttle that is to depart uses warp particles then the dekyon beam it could possibly make things a little easier." Ryanna paused. "I'm sending you the rest of the data along with some past encounters other ships had to go through that was similar, perhaps it or you could help get the wrinkles out of this puzzle."

As he made his way to the science labs, he commed Denali. “Lieutenant Denali, I’m heading to the science labs. We’ll be working together on solving this.” Mekor entered the science labs, finding Denali there, working diligently at the station. He approached her. “Have you discovered anything new, Lieutenant?” he asked her, glancing at the screen.

Ryanna received the comm from her superior prior to his arrival in the science lab. She hadn't been quite sure if she should have responded or not because anything she'd need to tell him she'd could do in person. Ryanna took a little breath as her fingers quickly danced over the console in front of her. She turned her head in the direction of the door when she heard it open. Her boss had arrived.
“Have you discovered anything new, Lieutenant?”
"Not as of yet sir," Ryanna replied with a sheepish smile. She sort of felt a little bad about not finding anything more that would help them yet. "but I have been trying. I thought maybe if we could be aloud to tap into the data gathered by the shuttle craft that departed a few minutes ago we could possibly find out more since they'd be closer to the anomaly. I do however suggest the Orion to have a tractor ready to lock onto the shuttle just in case they get a little too close and get pulled in also."

As she explained things, he went to a computer and began to look over the results. “I see,” he replied, returning her smile, then turning his attention back to the computer. To him, she seemed a little…uncomfortable. Or maybe he was just seeing things, since he really didn’t understand human nature all that well. She was doing a good job, however. “You’ve done a good job.” He wanted her to know that; they could all use a morale boost about now, what with the uncertainty of the situation. And it might help to alleviate the prior discomfort he thought he’d sensed from her.
“Relay these suggestions to the captain as soon as possible.” He checked the current situation on the computer. Apparently, there’d been a bomb on the ship. 12 casualties, nine MIA, and 20 injured. Mekor swore under his breath in Cardassian; they couldn’t have anticipated the bomb yet if they could have been searching for something like that they probably would have been able to find it. “I hope you’re monitoring the current situation regarding the Magnolia as well,” he said, with sadness in his tone. “Things are looking grim.”

Ryanna put a hand to her mouth. The Magnolia, how could she have so easily forgotten.
"The Magnolia? Oh, I'm sorry sir, I forgot." Ryanna said very apologetically. It really wasn't like her to forget, and she felt really bad about it. She quickly pulled up the information at hand regarding that ship and she could not say she liked what she saw. Of course she didn't have time to devise a solution to their problem as the one the Orion was facing was at the moment tougher and more critical for if not careful they could loose over 154 people, and that was not counting the Klingon vessel.
"Relaying these suggestions to the bridge now sir." Ryanna informed as professionally as possible. Grim situations were not her idea of a good time. Figuring out why one happened, well that was a little different as Ryanna was more of a facts girl. Who, what, where, when, why, and how...just like the media.

“The Magnolia? Oh, I’m sorry, sir, I forgot.” She spoke in a highly apologetic tone. Dukat knew how forgetful humans sometimes were. “Don’t worry about it, Lieutenant. Commander McKnight has got things under control.” He didn’t doubt the First Officer’s ability, and was sure that once they got the injured to sickbay, they were in good hands. It was highly unfortunate that the deceased’s bodies would be destroyed in the explosion; they deserved a decent burial. They were good man.
Dukat tried to shake off the bad feeling he had and focus on his work.

“Don’t worry about it, Lieutenant. Commander McKnight has got things under control.”
Whew, that could have been a close one. Ryanna thought as a wave of relief passed over her. For a minute she thought she might recieve her first reprimand on this vessel. That would not have been a very good thing at all.
"Commander," Ryanna did a quick scan. "It appears we have new information..." Ryanna went over the data a little more. "It's about the Klingon vessel. To state it plainly they don't have much time left. Hopefully the away team can get the Klingons and themselves to safety before the kaboom."

(OOC: Seein as my last post was the 6th and it's currently the 18th I'm gonna end this thread for me cuz the part here is over.)
Like predicted the Klingon ship exploded, but thankfully not before the Orion had beamed the crew aboard. From the science and engineering side things had went clockwork. The other side, well Ryanna didn't know, she was just a science officer so she didn't exactly need to be meeting their guests, however a message had come through from security that the Starfleet personnel would be bunking with each other to make room for the Klingons. Ryanna gave a little nod.
She stored away the information for later review and report. "If you'll excuse me sir, I've work to do elsewhere." After a curt nod Ryanna made her way past her chief. Hopefully he wouldn't mind the abrupt leave and hadn't thought it was because of him. She really did have other work to do now that this was over.
End Ryanna.
