They had been riding out, and riding out farther and farther away from the Orion. It was very unusual for Sharpay to feel nauseous when it a bumpy shuttle ride, but she did. She also did her best to ignore it and keep and ear open for when Lt. Mishtak announced that they were ten thousand kilometers away.
While Sharpay waited for that she kept scanning the state of flux about the Klingon ship there were there to help. She also took in their lifesigns, or rather tried. Sharpay couldn't pick up too much information because of the interference with the mix that was out there. The ship did register though as one from the very early years.

Watching his display he spoke...
"We are within range Ensign. Let's see if this plan works."
he began his portion of the operation, making sure everything was running smoothly...
"I was not aware you spoke Klingon, perhaps I was not as needed in engineering as the Captain thought."

Sharpay took out the tricorder that she had stored the information on and quickly had the shuttles computer download it from the tricorder. Quickly moving a stray piece of hair out of her face Sharpay side glanced at Mishtak for a brief second.
"Releasing warp particles now." Sharpay announced as she kept an eye on the readings.
"Well lieutenant I don't exactly let a lot of people in on things I know. Can't stand braggers, nor people that pry. Rather prefer a private life for myself considering how..." Sharpay informed rather bluntly, sounding almost angry at the same but, but not with anyone in the now. Though her words did have regret, a past regret mainly when she started on the last sentence before she trailed off.
Sharpay didn't exactly feel like talking about her past. Sure she always had the feeling of abandonment from being adopted, but that wasn't what was bothering her now, nor what she had spoken of. Before she had trailed off she was going to say 'considering how men are.'
"Prepare to activate the dekyon beam upon my mark...sir."

"I think I understand Ensign... Standing by for your mark."
he could hear years of pent up pain and frustration in her voice, he knew those sounds well... he also understood what it meant to keep your personal life private, even from those whom you trust with your life. He had no intention of prying into the Ensigns life, rather if she wished to talk about it he would gladly listen, though his insights were often far different from anyone else given his upbringing in the Klingon empire...

"I think I understand Ensign... Standing by for your mark."
Sharpay just gave a nod in Mishtak's direction. Understand. Ha! Everyone says that but they don't... Sharpay went about looking at the readings on the console in front of her. The shuttle shook a couple more times. How much turbulence were they going to face? Sharpay would be rather glad to get back to the Orion.
"Ya know, you let your guard down letting someone in and they just wind up taking the love you had to offer, then throw you aside like yesterdays technology packing up everything, and run off full speed with some exotic looking unintelligent bimbo. It's then you wake-up and realize that it all is one big fat lie, honor is a thing of the past, and happy endings are for suckers living in a diluted fantasy."
Sharpay had just let her deep rooted problem of the past slip out some that she had done so well concealing all these years. The frustration was a little overwhelming, and there was no doubt that she was still a little bitter. That particular part of her past is what most likely had her fancy Klingon programs and what not.
"Mark." Sharpay tapped a few buttons a little harder than necessary as she input a code. "Activate the dekyon beam, please."

as he engaged the dekyon beam the shuttle shimmied a little more...
"Ensign... beam activated..."
he wanted to say something comforting, but could think of nothing acceptable at the moment, she had just imparted knowledge of her innermost demons upon him, as a senior officer it was his duty to address this and help her, but as a Klingon warrior he did not know how to do this... she seemed to have been hurt by men in the past, he was a man, what help could he offer her. He thought she needed a soft shoulder to cry on and let out her frustrations, that would be the human response would it not... but she understands Klingon and Klingon responses, and that response would be an hour in his work out program designed for Klingons...
"Ensign, when this is over... should you need to express more emotions from your past, you may join me in the holodeck for my morning calisthenics."
he had never invited anyone into that program before, he was not sure if this was a good idea or not, but he knew there was something in the young ensigns life that was missing... perhaps a good workout would help her find it... and it would be nice to have someone to celebrate victory with as well...

Well that was great, just perfect, how could you possibly admit- Her thoughts of anger towards herself after she realized what she had just said dissipated when she heard the lieutenants' offer. Frankly she was a bit shocked. Dismissing the thought of why Sharpay simply shrugged.
"I suppose that would be acceptable." Sharpay replied nonchalantly.
"It's working!" Sharpay stated as her attention moved to the readouts. She watched the percentage slowly go up. Currently it was at 39% Just a bit longer and they should be able to communicate, well, Lt. Mistak actually. He was the only Klingon in the shuttle.
"The ship looks like it will be out soon. We can try opening a channel when it reaches the very least forty seven percent. Any idea what you're going to say?"

"most likely something along the lines of "if you wish to live, follow these instructions' other than that I think we will need to see how this goes and who exactly we are dealing with."
He remained monitoring the dekyon field and the view screens, waiting for the channel to be open so he could direct the crew of the derelict vessel in order to save them, and hopefully their ship...

Sharpay smirked at Lt. Mishtak's reply. She found it somewhat humorous. "I thought you know exactly with whom you were dealing with, 'Commander Miklar of the Klingon vessel IKS K'Thal'. At least that's what the signal said."
The percentage reading had gone up higher and faster than Sharpay had anticipated in that brief amount of time that had passed. "Ninety five percent and rising." Sharpay reported surprisingly. According to the readings the Klingon vessel was just about free. Their plan had worked. Looking to Mishtak Sharpay said; "Anytime you're ready."
She awaited his signal to open a channel to the vessel.

"Open a channel Ensign, lets see if we can't get this over swiftly."
He prepared to speak to his fellow Klingon's, hoping they would be willing to accept help from the federation as well as a Klingon that they may very well see as a traitor... however, with his order of Kahless badge on his sash he felt they would surely recognize him as a superior, at least as far as warriors were concerned...

"Aye sir." Sharpay tapped a few buttons on the control console in front of her. There was a short quiet beep. "Channel open." Sharpay informed as she continued to monitor the status of the Klingon vessel as well as the status of the shuttle they were in. She knew that soon they'd have to report to the Orion and let them know what kind of progress they had made, even if they were keeping an eye on them with their sensors. It was a safety protocol, and under the circumstances Sharpay thought it wise to follow this time.
She waited for Lt. Mishtak to speak. Currently the channel open was audio only. Sharpay thought it was the best course of action considering the years apart, however if requested she would change it to a visual channel. To be honest she was quite curious as to what would happen. If Captain Prince was to beam the Klingons aboard, where would they take them? Would she beam Lt. Mishtak aboard to the transporter room to great them while she piloted the shuttle back? This was a sticky situation indeed.

Adjusting his uniform, even though he was on audio only, he began speaking. The universal translator converting his words for him so they could be understood by anyone, even though it was spoken in Klingon...
"This is Lt. Mishtak, son of Kabarann of the U.S.S. Orion, we are responding to the distress call of Commander Miklar, of the Klingon vessel IKS K'Thal... Do you copy?"
all that was left was to await their response...

Sharpay was watching and listing. She was curious as to how'd the Klingons would react.
"This is Commander Miklar." Came a serious tone of voice over a slight crackling transmission. The tone of voice then turned skeptic.
"Since when are Klingon ships named after constellations? How do I even know you are who you say? This could be a Romulan deception. We will not accept help from any PetaQ no matter how badly our ship is damaged! I demand visual communication!"
That's when the shuttle got Captain Prince's message. Things were definitely not going well so far. Matter of fact things just seemed to roll right on down hill. Sharpay looked at Mishtak that said 'what now?'
Personally She'd have just beamed them all over to the ship then hightailed it out of there. Of course kidnapping, nor Klingon napping was part of the Federation politeness plan.

Mishtak growled slightly as he responded...
"Ensign, give me visual then stay out of sight..."
he positioned himself in the center of the view screen in an attempt to be the only person the commander saw, trying to reduce the risk of starting an incident between the Klingon Empire and the Federation...
"I am Mishtak, Son of Kabarann of the Order of Kahless. Lt in the United federation of planets and assigned to the U.S.S. Orion, you will either accept our help or you will perish without honor, the choice is yours commander, you do not have time to debate this."
Pressing a button he turned off the sound
"Ensign, get a transporter lock on all life signs on board that vessel, we will transport them directly to the Orion if need be, please inform the Captain..."
He then turned his sound back on and waited for Miklar's response...
