"Now who has a problem with who?! Discriminatory pig!" Sharpay's blood was starting to boil again. "What do you have against Humans? Mind you the people who raised me were Human, well my mother was half Betazoid, but that's a different story! And hello, you joined Star fleet which just so happens to be mostly populated by my species!"
"Discriminatory Pig? Really? Perhaps it is time to tell you about my past and my family after all..."
"No!" Shar shouted stubbornly. "I wouldn't go to the holodeck with you now, or even have that drink if you begged, hollered, or ordered me too! And I broke his arm because he said I was wrong, made a smart remark about adopted people, and made an unflattering remark about one of my parents being fully Human!"
"I have nothing against humans, and I will explain in a moment..."
"I do have one question though; would your mate approve of you liking the kiss Vidia gave you and fighting me?"
*sigh*
"I have no mate, I am unworthy in the eyes of the Empire to even consider finding a mate. As for Vidia, I may have enjoyed the attention on some level, but she is not my type, and I was using her to try and uncover as much information about this world as I could... I was not as successful as I had hoped to be, but I did manage to find the entrance from the main square. And what about you? You also kissed me, oh yes it was to prove a point..."
He let her go and took a seat, resting against the wall, he was looking slightly pale and his strength had left him...
"... Never mind, you want to know what I have against humans? Nothing, you and your race may not be as physically strong as Klingons, Romulans or Vulcans, but you have an indomitable spirit which is shown throughout your planets history... you were once a race of warriors, fighting among yourselves much like my own culture, but you evolved past that, grown beyond your own expectations of yourselves. I do not hate or discriminate against humans, in fact I respect you and your race more than any other Klingon I know, with the possible exception of Merzan, Son of Kabarann... My brother, who was himself raised by humans at the request of my mother. It is another story that I do not wish to talk about right now and can wait until that drink back on ship... I will gladly tell you anything else now however."
He meant it, he did not want to fight her, for the first time in his life a fight was staring him in the face and instead of lunging in for the kill, he simply wished to sit and talk... apparently star fleet academy had changed him a little bit...
"And as I said earlier, you are the epitome of the indomitable human spirit, you got into a fight, jeopardized your career in order to prove you were right and to defend the people that raised you. I say you would have made an excellent Klingon as a way to show my respect for you, not to insult you... I think my brother and you would get along better than we do though, it seems you and I shall never see eye to eye..."
It was true, they were far to different, in more ways than he cared to count... she was a ball of anger and rage with a ticking clock and he never knew what would set her off or why, all he knew is that he liked that about her, even if it did make their friendship a bit difficult. At this moment he simply wanted to get out of here, regroup with the others and get the heck away from this wretched planet at warp 10...
He sighed again and slumped farther down, fighting with her had taken more out of him than he had thought it would, if she were a Klingon he might have considered taking her as his mate, but she was not, and she would never agree to that anyway, she was much to stubborn and strong willed to be tied down in any way shape or form, he knew that now, and he just wanted to get back on her good side again so they could get out of here... He almost asked if she was ready to go, but he did not. Instead he waited for her response to what he had just said. Hoping the fight was over, at least for now so he could regain his strength...

"I have nothing against humans, and I will explain in a moment..."
"Alright, I'm listening. Let's have it." Shar was about as impatient as one could be, especially if she was angry. She figured though she at least owed him a fair trial. He did after all help in more ways than one, and did listen to her on their first mission together.
"Never pegged you for one to care what others think. So the Empire thinks you're unworthy, who the heck cares? You think people would consider me worthy to be a mother someday?" Shar lightly shook her head. "No."
When he released her, Sharpay sat down next to him. "Well..." Shutting up.
Shar stayed quite and listened. There was one thing so far that she was a little jealous of. He had a brother, she was an only child. It could have been nice if her parents had adopted another child. Then again, maybe not. What she had seen and heard from her friends that had siblings, well it at times made her question if it would have been nice to have a sibling.
"Well then, I'm...I'm...sorry that I took it the wrong way. It just sounded differently at the time." Shar said as she took off the jacket part of her uniform, revealing just the tank top. She needed to cool down; not just emotionally. Any sort of activity; ice skating, boxing, whatever, tended to make her wish she was on a cold planet or have it be the middle of winter.
"Ya know, not seeing eye to eye all the time is a good thing. That way you always have an objective party. To help figure out the best solution to a problem, and always have someone to help you step back and take a look at things before you go charging head first into something way over your head. Which I have a tendency to do quite often. I never could quite get a handle on the whole look before you leap." Sharpay admitted with a little smile as she leaned against Mishtak.
"I never mean to take things so personally either. I just can't help it. Sometimes I think it might be because I'm adopted, and feel like I always have something to prove, and other times I think my competitive nature and stubbornness is in my blood. I have no clue what my real parents are like, if we have anything in common. It's difficult not knowing where you come from. At least you have roots, and never have to feel alone or abandoned."
Enough on that. No one could ever understand, and I don't need or want pity.
Sharpay then got to her knees, and used her hand so she could look Mishtak in the eyes.
She leaned in and gave him a kiss, different than before. This one was soft, and a little romantic.
"I omitted something when I said I only kissed you to prove a point. What I omitted was that I liked it."

"Just checking to make sure you were the real deal." Xena said a little more at ease than before. "I take it you have not seen our carbon copies." Xena then turned back to the console and tried to figure out the code. Deciphering alien technology was not one of her specialties, but somehow she manged to do it. "Who are the children doc?"
Xena tapped away at the console. "I'm in!" She exclaimed in whisper. Xena then began to pull up information. A lot of nasty stuff here. Getting a hang of the language she quickly skimmed here and there. "They plan to take the ship!"
Suddenly phaser fire could be heard coming from the surface. Xena looked upwards. What now? Maybe the computer could tell them something that was going on.

"Never pegged you for one to care what others think. So the Empire thinks you're unworthy, who the heck cares? You think people would consider me worthy to be a mother someday?" Shar lightly shook her head. "No."
"Normally I do not care what people think, however the council and my father are still fighting since he has two sons and both have signed on with Star fleet, only my sister remained with him and to him she is nothing more than another crew member. Sometimes you remind me of her, she is an engineering whiz as well..."
As she leaned in he shifted slightly, attempting to make her more comfortable...
"looking before you leap is not my strong suit either, but I am learning..."
remembering his stunt with the force field he thought 'obviously not learning fast enough, but still working on it.'
"Roots... yes I suppose I have those, and yet I still grew up feeling alone and abandoned. Always being second best, compared to a brother that was never there... My father hated my mother for sending their first born away, he did not know he existed until I was born, my family life was substandard even by Klingon standards... I can't imagine what it must be like to not know where you come from, but some days I wish I had that problem..."
She leaned in and gave him a kiss, different than before. This one was soft, and a little romantic.
He was startled by the kiss, but it was different from before, he could feel something but it was over before he could respond to it...
"I omitted something when I said I only kissed you to prove a point. What I omitted was that I liked it."
"I too enjoyed it..."
and to demonstrate as much, and also respond to the most recent kiss, he encircled her with his arms and pulled her close to him as he kissed her, a kiss that was romantic by any ones standards, it carried with it emotions that were normally held in check, feelings that he did not fully understand and so much more... After a moment he withdrew slowly, remaining to look into her eyes and waiting to see how she would react...

Shar listened as best she could. She had never been all that good when it came to a 'Dear Abby' role, and she didn't know all things Klingon, just simple basics so that fact alone made it somewhat slightly difficult. Shar could really only think of one solution, and it's something her adopted mother had always said.
"You could try talking about it. If no one knows how you feel then nothing can get resolved. Not everyone is a mind reader." Shar lightly shrugged. "Some of moms words of wisdom. One hundred percent Betazed approved."
However, Sharpay was not exactly all too pleased when he said that she reminded him of his sister. That's just what ever girl wishes to hear...not. Though she did appreciate the compliment, the engineering aspect.
"I too enjoyed it..."
Those words completely surprised Sharpay. She never expected it, much less what happened next.
He kissed her, and not just any kiss. She closed her eyes, and was relaxed, well for the most part. What was happening? She didn't much know. Frankly she felt as if she might go limp as a rag doll; just forget week in the knees. When his lips weren't against hers anymore it took a minute or two before Shar's eyes fluttered open.
Her mind was very delayed, as she was in somewhat of a daze. Feeling a little dizzy, she was glad that she was not standing. Lot's of different emotions flooded through. Bliss, anger, and many more. Frozen like a statue and breathless Shar attempted to finally speak.
"Uh,that...I...er, we..." Shar was floundering for words. "...well...don't..." She blinked a few times. "Is that all you got?" Sharpay managed to finally spit out a full sentence. She smiled and gingerly put her hands to his face, and gave Mishtak a quick kiss. "I think we should meet up with the others now, don't you?"
They for sure could not stay there forever. Underground...in enemy territory, not the feel good place of the century, even if the company was wonderful.

"Just checking to make sure you were the real deal." "I take it you have not seen our carbon copies." "Who are the children doc?"
Trish nodded her head in understanding. She had not seen the copies Lieutenant Xena had spoke of, but that explained the woman's behavior and question. Trish looked to the children when they were mentioned.
"Aralaxis, Perdroma, Susifis, Lundria, and Copah." Trish said with a smile as she pointed to each child when she said their name. They had time to get acquainted, and they were really quite sweet. Trish knew she would have a hard time saying goodbye to them when the time came. "We helped them get away, sort of. Have either of you seen Lieutenant Mishtak and Ensign Harper?"
"What have you got?" Trish then looked up as she too heard the phaser fire. Susifis tugged on her uniform. "I'm afraid." Trish picked her up and ushered the others over to a chair in the corner of the room. "Don't worry." Trish said calmly. Looked like she was the babysitter from here on out, which she actually didn't mind all that much.

"Nice to meet you all. I'm Lydia nd this is Xena." Captain Prince told the children with a smile. She didn't have mush time to talk, but acknowledging was a must, even if it was very brief. "I thought Ensign Harper and Lieutenant Mishtak were with you." Well they couldn't leave without them, but they had to get rid of these clones, and hijack a ship, among other things.
Captain Prince moved over to the console and looked at what Xena was doing. "Wait, what's that?" Lydia stopped paused the information and pulled it up on one of the larger screens. "We have to blow this place to high heaves on the way out, of course leaving the planet intact."
She lightly shook her head. This is so complicated.

"Uh,that...I...er, we..." Shar was floundering for words. "...well...don't..." She blinked a few times. "Is that all you got?" Sharpay managed to finally spit out a full sentence.
He was smiling, which was unusual for him...
She smiled and gingerly put her hands to his face, and gave Mishtak a quick kiss.
His smile did not fade...
"I think we should meet up with the others now, don't you?"
"Yes, we can always finish our... conversation back on the ship."
He stood up, picked up her uniform top and handed it to her, then he retrieved their collar pips.
"I doubt the captain would understand us leaving these behind. After you, and that is not a ladies first, it is a I'm following your lead."
He then double checked his phaser, full charge, good, they would probably need it to get out of here. He was sure the one he had handed to Shar was also fully charged and was not about to ask her, after all, she had proved she could handle herself and he would let her do so, unless of course she was about to die, then he would intervene, as long as he was certain she was in dire trouble...
He stood in the hall, by the bomb she had set down earlier and kept a watch, waiting for her to get ready and lead the way, so they could rendezvous with the others and get back to the ship.

"Conversation? I thought we had been kissing." Shar lightly shrugged. "Cultural differences I guess." She said jokingly and with a smile, as she got to her feet. "Thanks." Shar said as she took her jacket and just slipped it on.
"I doubt the captain would understand us leaving these behind. After you, and that is not a ladies first, it is a I'm following your lead."
"Alright then, chop chop," Sharpay picked up the small bomb then flipped open her tricorder. "let's go." Sharpay walked swiftly. She was not exactly sure of the way out, but despite that she showed confidance that she did. "Try and keep up."
Shar glanced at her tricorder every now and again. She stopped abruptly before turning the next corner as she heard voices. She held out a hand to block Mishtak, the way her father used to do to her to keep her from crossing a busy street. Storing her tricorder Shar went for the phaser Mishtal had given her.
Putting her back to the wall Shar peaked around the corner to see four people. Two were of this planet, the others, well...
"I don't have a twin sister, do you have a twin brother you didn't tell me about?"

"Conversation? I thought we had been kissing."
He smiled again as he thought to himself 'We were kissing, and I'm pretty sure we both enjoyed it, and perhaps we will do more of It back aboard the ship, but now we just need to get out of here.'
"Cultural differences I guess." "Thanks."
"You're welcome."
"Alright then, chop chop, let's go. Try and keep up."
"Right behind you."
"I don't have a twin sister, do you have a twin brother you didn't tell me about?"
"I have only one brother, and he would not be on this planet."
He peered around the corner to see what she saw, he knew the man standing there was not his brother, Merzan was slightly shorter, but not by much... The question became, is it a clone or disguise, if it were a simple disguise, he could certainly take care of his double, but if it were a clone, they would be evenly matched under normal conditions, but given the last few encounters, Mishtak was not exactly in his prime at the moment.
"I'll take me, if you can handle yourself and the other two."

"I'll take me, if you can handle yourself and the other two."
Shar raised an eyebrow at Mishtak. Seriously, was he asking that he only take one and she take the others? That didn't seem Klingon like. It was as if he were passing up a good fight. Why would that be? Surely she couldn't have worn him out all that much when they fought, and a kiss could hardly take all the juice out of someone.
"Is there something you're not telling me? Are you sick?" Shar whispered skeptically and almost sharply.
She was concerned, that was certain, but not completely obvious. Shar peaked round the corner again. She looked above and saw a support beam over head the group. Maybe they would not have to use physical violence if they could use their pahsers to collapse the beam onto them. Then again she didn't know how that would affect them. It could cause a cave in and they'd be stuck on the wrong side.
"How about we just step out with pahsers firing."

"Is there something you're not telling me? Are you sick?" Shar whispered skeptically and almost sharply.
"I'm still not fully recovered from my force field stunt..."
"How about we just step out with phasers firing."
He thought about that for a moment, he was not sure about the locals, but if Shar's double was anything like her, and his double were like him, their reflexes would surely get them out of sight quickly before they would return fire, and depending on what tactics they used... it would be a long shot, but he had another idea. He took a glance at the homemade bomb still in her hand, stepped into her, kissed her again, quickly...
"How big of a punch did you pack into that device? We don't want to risk another cave in, who knows if we'd be able to find another way out afterward..."
He ran through some other options in his mind quickly... if he were in top form he could easily take all 4 of them in ranged or melee combat, but he was not, and he'd hate to steal the fight from Shar, they could go out phasers blasting and hope for the best, but he wanted to have an idea of a plan to follow so they didn't get in each others ways... and they needed the outline quick before the group left and it became a moot point. He also wanted their doubles left in one piece for he had an afterthought... They were made to look like them for a reason... if they could follow them and figure out what was going on they'd gain the upper hand... it would be tricky...
"I wonder if there is a way to take out the locals, but leave ourselves alone in order to follow them, then take them out after we see what they are up too."

"I'm still not fully recovered from my force field stunt..."
Sharpay wacked Mishtak on the shoulder. "I told you not to do that! But did you listen? No!" Sharpay shouted in whisper. She lightly shook her head. Shar hit him again after he kissed her. "Not now." She stated firmly. Now was the time to think and escape, not play.
"How big of a punch did you pack into that device? We don't want to risk another cave in, who knows if we'd be able to find another way out afterward..."
"Let's just say an unsafe punch, almost equivlent to one troclot explosive used for mining and carried for emergency blow ups on shuttle crafts." She bit her lower lip as she looked to the ground. "You don't want to use it now."
"And hello, there is only one reason we'd be copied and that would be to gather information and take over the ship." Shar paused a moment. The ship. "Crap! If they made a copy of all of us especially Captain Prince then..."
Sharpay looked a little worried. "What if we don't meet up with the others? What if we meet their copies? How'd we tell them apart? I don't know any of our shipmates well enough to give a pop quiz with only answers they would know."
Shar pursed her lips. "I say we just take our chances with the phasers."

"Looks like plans." Xena commented as she looked at the screen. She zoomed in on one area. It was worse than anyone thought. They had been using the other species to power their planet and everything on it. The attacks they had heard on the surface were from their neighbors. Apparently they had some sort of way to get to the planet undetected and cloak themselves.
The place they were in right now was the main power plant, the copies of them were made to help in the fight and take over the ship. They were then going to use the Orion to help them take the neighboring planet. How would they get out of this? Xena pulled up another file and put it on the large screen. The Orion was in a fight taking on some heavy damage. Xena searched for a way to beam out of this underground lare.

Sharpay whacked Mishtak on the shoulder. "I told you not to do that! But did you listen? No!"
"Again, it seemed the best way to get the required readings..."
"Not now."
He just smiled...
"Let's just say an unsafe punch, almost equiv lent to one troclot explosive used for mining and carried for emergency blow ups on shuttle crafts." She bit her lower lip as she looked to the ground. "You don't want to use it now."
"Best if we save that for later..."
"And hello, there is only one reason we'd be copied and that would be to gather information and take over the ship. Crap! If they made a copy of all of us especially Captain Prince then... "I have read everyone's file, but if they have read them as well, it will be more difficult to tell the real from the copy until they attempt to kill us..."
"I say we just take our chances with the phasers."
"... I agree with you, at least we know for sure these two are imposters..."
He readied his phaser and was about to round the corner to open fire when he decided to help get her in the mood for the fight with just an extra little push that he figured she'd use to fuel her attack against the enemy...
"... Ladies first."
It was subtle, but should be just enough to push her button into combat mode...
