More than a few years back my dad got me 3 Star Trek books about our beloved characters still in the academy. One is from when Kirk, Spock, and McCoy were in the academy. The part where Bones and Spock met was quite funny. He and Kirk were being punished, (the whole incident was Kirk's fault. If not for the incident they would not have met.) so the admiral instructed them to be volunteers of I can't remember what. So, Bones goes to sign up to be a volunteer, but Spock won't let him sign up because he was ordered, and did not come of his own accord as a volunteer would. I forget the name at the moment, but the book was quite funny. The other two are about Janeways academy days and experiences. They are real killers! ;D One of them is full of such suspense you are always on the edge of your seat. Also, we find out that she attended Starfleet Academy with Geordi LaForge. The name of that book is: Star Trek Voyager Starfleet Academy #3: Quarantine. I'll have to dig up the other to find out the name. In 6th grade I used this book for a book report. I can tell you I had everyones attention! Have any of you ever read academy books? If so, what ones, and what did you think of them? I'd suggest the academy books to all Trek fans.
