A red transporter beam appeared and deposited the rematerialized form of General Kabarann onto the platform. He stepped down from the pad and looked at the young transporter operator.
" jIH nargh Daq taH wa'DIch."
Then realizing the man probably did not speak Klingon...
"I appear to be early. I will wait for your Captain, and there are four others beaming aboard."
He stood off to the side waiting for the other arrivals and for the Captain to arrive. He knew it was standard Star Fleet protocol to greet all guests in person, although he had expected Mishtak to have been here already. He'd find out about that later...

On the transporter pad the two Klingon women rematerialized and saw General Kabarann standing off to the side waiting for them.
"nuqneH loDnal" Auloh said to Kabarann as she stepped over toward him.
"nuqneH vav" Was Kintata's greeting.
The women stood by the General as they waited for the captain to arrive
"nuqDaq 'oH Mishtak?" Auloh growled. as Kintata crossed her arms looking impatient at the lack of her brother's presence and glaring at the transporter tech, who seemed to be getting more nervous with each arrival.

Post by Lt. Cmdr. Merzan on Sept 24, 2010 0:55:12 GMT -5
About five minutes after the General, in full Klingon Uniform, arrived followed by the two Klingon women, the younger of the two in uniform, Lt. CMDR. Merzan and his human wife rematerialized in the Orion transporter room. Merzan stepped off the pad and first addressed his father.
"jIH legh maH 'oH wa'DIch nuqDaq 'oH wIj loDnI'."
He then turned to the transporter room operator who was growing increasingly nervous as he was now only one of two Humans surrounded by Klingons and the only Human in the room not married to a Klingon.
"Ensign, I am Lieutenant Commander Merzan of the USS Voyager - B, where is my brother Lieutenant Mishtak?"
"I...I think he is off duty currently sir." Was the shaky response from the ensign, who probably thought the Klingons were going to eat him.
"Please inform your Captain that we have arrived."
"Yes sir..." The ensign hit a switch on his console "...transporter room to bridge... the Klingon... delegation... has arrived."

//"Thank you, I'm on my way."//
---
No sooner were those words heard when Captain Prince walked through the doors. Quite a few guests, however family came in all different sizes. The only odd thing was that there was a Human female among the group, and the woman was most not part of her crew. Well, maybe not the only odd thing. Lydia hadn't expected a Starfleet officer to be with the bunch either.
"General Kabarann," Lydia addressed and made her way towards. "welcome to the Orion. I apologize for my tardiness." She looked to the others. "I'd like to welcome the rest of you to the Orion as well." Now looking to all, but mostly the general as he was in charge. "If you like I can escort you all to your quarters, or we could take a tour of the ship, or we could go to the mess hall for something to eat." the things she was supposed to say and suggest had been done.

He watched the captain enter and he stepped between her and the others.
"General Kabarann, welcome to the Orion. I apologize for my tardiness."
"Thank you Captain."
"I'd like to welcome the rest of you to the Orion as well. If you like I can escort you all to your quarters, or we could take a tour of the ship, or we could go to the mess hall for something to eat."
"I do not know about the rest of my family, but I would like to know where my son is and when we will see him. Your crewman here has said he is off duty, I wonder why it is he did not come to greet us himself."
He also wanted a tour of the ship but figured that could wait until after he learned why his son was ignoring the visit of his family, could it be that Merzan had forgotten to tell Mishtak about these plans and had possibly asked the Captain to keep him in the dark as well? It would certainly be Merzan's style of joke, something he had picked up during his extended time amongst the Humans Especially his wife Fiona who seemed to have a very over active sense of humor at times. If she wasn't Human he might actually have liked her. He waited for the Captain to answer his question before saying anything else, and the others could decide what they wanted to do on their own.

Merzan waited to the side while the Captain and Kabarann spoke, when they were finished he spoke up
"Captain, as much as I'd like to see my brother, my wife and I would like to put our things in our quarters if someone could show us the way."
He was a star fleet officer but he was also a guest and knew that the Captain would have her hands full with his parents and sister more than she would with him and Fiona. All he really wanted to do was to get away from his family for the time being and get settled before finding his brother...

"It is true. Your son is currently off duty, however, it is my fault he has not come to greet you as Lieutenant Mishtak has yet to know of your arrival. I thought perhaps you might like to surprise him. It's not everyday that a member of this crew has a chance to see their family, and once we make it to the Delta Quadrant, seeing family and friends again won't happen for a very long time. Though, if you like I could have him report here."
"Captain, as much as I'd like to see my brother, my wife and I would like to put our things in our quarters if someone could show us the way."
"Certainly. For convenience even, I had quarters arranged next to one another. You're all on deck six." Lydia turned and waved to the ensign who was manning the transporter. "Ensign, please escort them to their quarters on deck six." "Yes ma'am. Please...come with me." The ensign said to the Klingon and his wife.
Lydia would have been happy to show them all the way, but protocol demanded that she stay with the general.
The reason she had given his family deck six was because that's where Mishtak's quarter were located.
