"Aye Captain, I am aware of the wormhole, why do you ask?"
"We've studied most known ways of getting into the Delta Quadrant, Captain," "And the Barzan Wormhole is one of the most 'normal'. It is an unstable wormhole, negotiated over by the Enterprise and later used by a bunch of Ferengi to dupe the natives of a nearby planet. According to our information, it is extremely unreliable."
La'Mara was going to answer the question when Lieutenant Huygens spoke up. She was rather impressed with the young science officers reply. This bit of information was supposed to be common knowledge to all Federation officers, but not a whole lot of them could recall every detail correctly, and if they did it was not always prompt. She knows her stuff.
"That's correct. Glad to see you know the history." La'Mara replied with a gentle smile. La'Mara turned back to the screen, and pulled up the wormhole, and was going to explain their instructions.
"Wait,"
Captain Tiho turned back to face Lieutenant Huygens.
"Captain, surely you are not suggesting our orders are to look for the Barzan Wormhole?" "The wormhole is unstable. Once there, we'll be alone like Voyager, without a way back."
"Would you care to take over the briefing?" La'Mara responded lightheartedly, as she folded her arms across her chest. "You seem to know just about everything I'm going to say." Alright, yes, La'Mara was lightly joking about taking over the briefing, but knowing just about what she was going to say...the young officer was not too off.
"It's true the wormhole is unstable, however, we're supposed to attract it here, and believe it or not-"
Captain Tiho's sentence was cut short as the ship jolted, and started spinning out of control!
She had to hang onto the edge of the wall until the ship came to a halt.
"Bridge, report." Tiho said after a swift tap to the combadge.
//We've been sucked through a wormhole.// The was a slight pause. //We're on the other side of the galaxy. The Delta Quadrant.//
After the report La'Mara looked to her senior staff as she got straight back to her feet. "I guess the briefing is adjourned." Tiho said as she walked out of the briefing, signaling the officers to follow.
