Captain Lydia Prince had gotten a message from Starfleet that it was time to pull out. Re-assigned was more the way to say it. Normally Lydia would have questioned why, however, at the same time she had also gotten a letter. A family member had become very ill, and there was nothing the doctors could do. The condition was terminal.
This news among Starfleets had caused a great deal of thinking. Flashbacks too. So, Captain Prince accepted the transfer without hesitation. Of course she did take the liberty of looking up the service record of the ships new captain to be; La'Mara Tiho.
It looked like the transfer had given the officer a promotion to captain. So, she was fresh and inexperienced. Then again the woman was a joined trill. Perhaps there was some command experience she might have knowledge of. Lydia couldn't help but also be concerned about her crew. They had been through a lot and gotten to know one another. They were used to a certain style. That would change as every commanding officer had their own way, and style. But it seemed like the ship was going to good hands.
Well, it was time to tell the crew.
