Larkin did as he was bid to do and smirked. This time those aliens wont catch them by surprise but we sure will have one for them. He could not help but chuckle at this. oh he loved moments like this a crew united in a singular common goal. Retrieving their Captain and blowing the enemy to hell and back. He loved being a pilot.

"...bet your glad you're nor on a Klingon ship, aren't you?"
Chrym had dealt with Klingons before and knew quite a few things. He started laughing. "Well, sir," he said. "If I were on a Klingon vessel I'd probably have killed you by now for not act of dishonour, as a good first officer had to do." Syell realised something suddenly. "Not that I would win," he added. "But it'd be an honourable death for a Klingon, would it?"
He was ordered to continue monitoring repairs. "Aye sir," he said, bringing up the repairs on the executive station. It's too slow! "Sir, repairs are going very slowly," he said. "With your permission, I would like to revoke all time off-duty and order the entire crew to assist in the repairs. It might result in considerable increases in speed."

Elise stepped out of the turbo lift and looked around the bridge looking for the last witness ahs would need to talk with. Seeing her last target she walked over to Cadet Chrym and gave a slight nod to Mishtak “Caption Mishtak, I need to talk with Cadet Chrym.” Elise tapped the PaDD in her left hand on her leg more out of habit then annoyance.

Zephelor had been so busy with repairs he completely missed the staff meeting in the briefing room. He hoped he hadn't missed anything too important, but he was sure if he did someone would surely fill him in.
Upon completing repairs to the primary sensor relays, he put the panel back on the wall were he had been doing the repairs and stood up, with that he told the captain "Sir, repairs have been completed to the Primary sensor relays, we should have full sensor strength as of now." With that being said, his next focus was on getting the secondary systems back up and running.

The briefing ended and all the senior officers were on the bridge again. They looked like that had come up with some sort of plan, which was a good thing. A very good thing. Another good thing: repairs were underway, and Krax had managed to get the primary sensor relays up and working again. An thought then came to Ry.
They could send a fully functional probe back from which they came. See if the ship was still there, program it to also go and scan the planets atmosphere then have it wait for pick-up in a nebula that had been near by. It would be protected by the shields. They could hook up a visual link with the probe as well. Could not hurt to suggest.
"Sir, I have a proposal." Ryanna turned in her seat so she was facing the command chairs. "While the Orion is still having repairs made we could send a probe back to the region, and also upload a visual link. We could get more information about the ship; if it's still there as well as have it get close to the planet. With it's small design it should be able to withstand more than the shuttle was. I could work with Lieutenant Huygens."

"Well, sir. If I were on a Klingon vessel I'd probably have killed you by now for not act of dishonor, as a good first officer had to do."
So the cadet had obviously been around Klingon before, Mishtak realized how much he disliked joined Trill because you can't take them at face value. They have lifetimes of memories even if they look like a young cadet still in training...
"Not that I would win, but it'd be an Honorable death for a Klingon, wouldn't it?"
At least joined Trill have some wisdom to go along with the years of knowledge...
"If the situation was one of dishonor then death by first officer is an honorable way to die."
"Sir, repairs are going very slowly, with your permission, I would like to revoke all time off-duty and order the entire crew to assist in the repairs. It might result in considerable increases in speed."
"An increase in speed yes, but also an increase in mistakes. A crew can only be pushed so hard and from what I can see they have taken the initiative to reduce their off duty activities to begin with..."
He didn't mention that most of the off duty leisure activities involved systems that were off line and sections of the ship with large amounts of debris laying all over the place.
"Sir, repairs have been completed to the Primary sensor relays, we should have full sensor strength as of now."
"Thank you Mr. Krax, how are those launchers coming?"
He was referring to the torpedo and probe launchers, he had another idea involving probes but wasn't sure if anyone would go for it...
"Sir, I have a proposal. While the Orion is still having repairs made we could send a probe back to the region, and also upload a visual link. We could get more information about the ship; if it's still there as well as have it get close to the planet. With it's small design it should be able to withstand more than the shuttle was. I could work with Lieutenant Huygens."
He liked this idea better then the one he had been thinking of...
"Okay, you and Huygens get to work on the probe and as soon as the launchers are operational again you have a go for launch. That should give us at least some sort of tactical advantage when we drop back in on our old friends..."
He did not like the idea of hiding nor of sending in probe, until he thought of it from a ground combat point of view. The probe would act as his recon team, finding out enemy locations and alerting the other soldiers of their positions to allow the fire teams to clear the enemy strongholds with ease, convert that to what they are doing now and it makes perfect sense, plus when they return they can have the probe on the other side of the planet feeding them information about the enemy during combat to assist in an on the spot tactical analysis. It was a very good idea, now he just hoped it'd work...

Ryanna gave a nod then tapped her badge. "Lieutenant Huygens, please meet me in the launch bay to do some work on a probe that is to be sent out, please." Ry said respectfully and politely. Lieutenant Huygens was still her superior in the science division so it felt a little strange telling her to report someplace. After she had sent the message via badge Ry left the bridge; a crewman taking over the station, and left in the turbolift.

Vistrol took Lieutenant Denali's place at the science station when the woman left. The young Andorian female went over the current information. A plan was in progress. Great! That made her job a lot easier; simply scan and log. I really hope this works... La'as'wa thought to herself, slightly nervous.

"What you say, sir," said Syell, realising the truth of the Klingon's words. Some time passed and repairs were really starting to pick up. "Repair team reports shields are now at 50% of efficiency," he said, reporting what he saw on his console. About 30 minutes later, another report came up. "Sir," he announced. "I am happy to announce that shields are now at 90%."
Syell found it right to congratulate the repair teams on their fast work, so he tapped his commbadge. "Cadet Syell here," he said. "Good job on getting those shields back up." Now, I can't wait to get back there.

Elise stopped tapping the PaDD on her leg as Cadet Chrym outright ignored her. True most crew members acted like she was not around, Elise liked it that way. However for a cadet to act like an office was not even standing next to them even when they had been addressed. Regardless of what was happening this was something she would have been reprimanded over at Starfleet Academy.
Elise let out a slight sigh. No matter Elise still had some time and thought she would give Cadet Chrym another chance. Elise has been standing on the bridge for near 20 minutes an was now far from annoyed when Cadet Chrym announcement that shields were at 90% she knew that it was time to hand in her report.
Hand this in now then. Elise thought as she looked around the bridge a moment.
“Caption Mishtak.” Elise walked over to the acting caption “My report” she held out the PaDD for Mishtak.
Report Number: DQ9542 Date of Report: October 2391 Filed by: Ensign Elise Lee Triad Intelligence Officer USS Orion NCC-97659 SECLAR: RATING 1
Subject: Analysis of alien ship from unproved attack on the USS Orion NCC-97659.
---
I would like to start this report by informing it’s readers that this report has minimal data from the ships sensors as there were offline. I will continue to try and rebuild that data and add it to this report.
---
The alien ship belonging to a as yet unknown species is far more then a match for the USS Orion in both size, being twice the size of the Intrepid Class, and firepower. Starting with the more apparent the ship has four warp nacelles leading me to two conclusions.
1. The ship has two warp cores. The amount of power and speed this ship can put out would lead me to think that they could have run us down and finished us off.
2. The ship may only have one warp cores capable of putting out more power then anything we have seen yet. I don’t think this to be the more likely of the two but the option needs to be presented.
The armaments onboard of this ship are powerful. If the USS Orion had been of a standard Intrepid Class I would have to place a 58% chance that it would not have made it out of the fight. However the added reinforcements and the skill of it’s crew seemed to have had some little affect in the outcome and if not for the ‘Tactical Withdraw’ ordered by acting Caption (Lieutenant) Mishtak the ship and crew would have been lost.
It is for this alone that special account needs to be taken of the weapons systems on the ship in question. In talking with bridge crew, reviewing visual records and statements made by eye witness’ I have to place a threat level of Sevier on the weapons.
The amount of weapons arrays is as of yet unknown. I have made an account of only three by observation and report. Given Starfleet, Cardassian, Romulan, Klingon and Dominion ship design I have made a guess at a minimum of eight weapons arrays. This would provide weapons coverage for the whole of the ship top and bottom.
---
My overall opinion of this alien race is one of Guarded Caution. They will attack without warning if there space in entered and if provoked may fight to the death. Further contact should be made on there terms alone. Keep well out of there known space and send a greeting. If they see fit to make contact then it would be best to proceed as they see fit.

"I don't know if you got Ensign Harper's comm, but everything is all set. All we need is the word, then we can take off." Xena announced to all on the bridge as she stepped out of the turbolift. Reason for the announcement? No one had called back on the lines to confirm. Xena took the station and waited for orders from...well anyone. In her personal opinion if they were going to go they should go now.

Mishtak took the PaDD from Elise and read over it, several times in fact, and was dismayed that he had learned nothing new from her report. Not that he had expected much seeing as the sensors were down and those played a large part in most reports and analysis's conducted from a starship...
He thought he heard Sharpay report that they were ready to return, and then he was fairly certain that a report had been made that shields were working again as well as the launchers, he also though the heard someone say the probes were ready to go as well... He hoped he had heard right as he returned the PaDD to the Intel officer.
He pressed the ship wide com button on the arm of his chair...
"All hands, we are setting a return course to retrieve our lost crewmen. Report to battle stations and prepare yourselves for a fight."
He released the button and stood up, looking around the bridge and seeing what was lurking in everyones eyes before giving his orders.
"Launch the probe. Helm, wait five minutes and then set a return course at warp five, then prepare to initiate Commander Reinhardt's evasive maneuvers. Lt. Xena, raise shields once the probe is launched, load all torpedo bays and ready all phasers, we will not be caught with our hands over our eyes a second time. Everyone else, man your stations and report any changes the moment they are detected..."
He sat back in the chair and tried to look calm and relaxed as he issued the final word...
"...Engage."
In his head was once again the old Klingon war song he and sung on many battle grounds, he was almost certain the unknown vessel would be waiting for them but would continue to hope silently that they had abandoned the planet and they could retrieve the away team with relative ease. Now for the hard part, dealing with the fate of the away team...

"Aye sir." Xena said, acknowledging Mishtak's order. She stood ready behind the console, hands flying every which way across it. Thankfully it had been cleaned up and fix while she was gone. The launchers were still offline though, just as she suspected. It might end up being one of those 'we have it last minute deals!' Those kind of became routine on this ship. "As I'm sure you know, launchers are still down. Lieutenants Huygens and Denali are firing the probe manually."

Larkin's fingers danced on the Commanders Console inputting the correct course and and heading and speed. He was anxious to get underway and retrieve his comrades who were down on planet. With the course set in all that was needed was the command to make it so.
"Course laid in Sir. On your mark sir." Larkin said finger at the ready.
