Celestia got off the lift and walked around until she reached her desired destanation: The Portal Inn. Walking in she noticed a few people about, none of which she wanted to talk to. The two people she was looking for actually was Arthur and Cadfael. Right now thought it looked like a waiting game.

Cadfael emerged from the room behind the bar with a big smile on his face: he had just brewn the first ever local ale originating from the Delta Quadrant. The only thing he now had to do was change the colouring from that distasteful pale green to a more normal shade, but it was a delicious, fruity beer with Rathren aromas. He'd call it "Aroma Ale". He was also in the progress of brewing a darker, more Guinness-like beer he'd call "Delta Drought", for the real connaisseur.
He saw Lieutenant-Commander Milos and sneaked up on her. "Back already, Commander?" he said politely, with a chuckle. "What can I offer you? It's on the house."

Celestia nearly jumped at being snuck up upon. Good thing she had no weapon or desire to fight. "You startled me." Celestia said with a hand to her chest as she turned on the spot. Now relaxed she smiled. "I told you I'd be back." Well she had when they had met while taking a tour of the station. "Um, as far as a drink: surprise me. I'm always up for an adventure or something new." She replied with a friendly tone. Of course that was not the only thing on her mind.

"Remember what Arthur said?" Cadfael asked pleasantly after the Executive Officer revealed she was startled. "From his description, you might rightly describe me as a bit eccentric." He chuckled. "My apologies, though. I didn't mean to," he said gentlemanly.
"Um, as far as a drink: surprise me. I'm always up for an adventure or something new."
Ah, I'm glad! Arthur exclaimed inwardly, as he started to smile. "Just the person I was looking for! Art told me that you were a woman for strange," he said, but then apparently had second thoughts about offering her the Aroma Ale. "Although I don't know if that includes drinking green-coloured ale made out of alien plants from Rathr." He laughed pleasantly. Although I must admit it tastes right good, I already observed the colour. It might scare the lady.

"Yes, I remember. Truth be told Art is one of the people who's words I actually remember. Quite a few peoples words end up going in one ear and out the other." But then again, you don't put down everything others say or do in your personal journal. Celestia reminded herself in thought. "Suppose that's something I'll have to work on."
"Just the person I was looking for! Art told me that you were a woman for strange,"
He mentioned me? "Did he happen to say anything else about me, or is that it?" Celestia inquired rather curiously. Just how much did Cadfael know about her because of Arthur? If he knew a lot then it might be a little bit of a clue for a puzzle. "Hit me up. I'll try the drink." Color didn't exactly matter when it came to drink. You could have one that looked right bloody awful, but taste totally rad.

Were it not that you would probably not like me to do so literally, Cadfael reflected with a smile as he poured the ale before resuming the cnversation, I'd say you have a crush on our dashing young Commander. The pub owner decided to play some mind games by stating hypothetical scenarios: it was a diplomatic trick. "What if I told you he had?" he asked. "Would you be happy?"
"Here you go, by the way," he said, quite happily giving Arthur's friend the half pint of ale. "A half pint of the first local Delta Quadrant ale in the Galaxy." He wondered what she thought of it.

"So it's going to take twenty questions?" Celestia shrugged, and lightly laughed. "I can live with that." She said as she took a sip of the drink. "Mmm. Quite good." Celestia complimented. Now to answer the questions. "Yes, I'd be happy if he had." She admitted freely.
"And if you're trying to figure if I like Arthur more than a friend I'll save ya the trouble: I do, and have since we first served together, and no, he has no clue." Hopefully that would be sufficient. Celestia then took another sip of the ale. What would he ask now? Tell might be something more to be concerned with. "But please don't tell him or anyone else."

She quite freely admitted her crush on her Commanding Officer. Arthur wouldn't mind, probably. He might drop a few hints but surely not enough for his friend to find out the truth about Celestia's feelings towards him. "My dear girl, my next question is, who do you think I am?" he asked rhetorically with a straight face, but in a joking manner. "One, I was a diplomat: I know how to keep a secret, as I deal in information. Second, did you ever meet a bartender who betrayed you?" He added hastily: "Well, apart from a Ferengi, of course!"

Celestia laughed at the added Ferengi bit. That race was something else. Obsessed with profit. They'd sell out and exploit any one. Wasn't there a bit on exploitation and making money in their rules of acquisition? Then again, there were a few Ferengi in Starfleet, so not all of them could be that bad.
"Okay. I think I get the picture." Celestia replied pleasantly. "Though I can't honestly say about a bartender. I've never actually dealt with one before. Waiters and waitresses: yes." Celestia ran a finger around the rim of her cup. "On planets I'm always out on the beach, they come to you, and I've always served on vessels in the fleet, which in most cases you are simply dealing with a replicator."

"Now that you speak of it," said Cadfael pleasantly, still with the straight face so typical of what on 21st-century Earth was known as 'British humour'. "I've never seen a replicator betray a secret, either. Perhaps that's why they're used so much."
He looked at Celestia's glass. "Like the drink?"

Celestia laughed. "I've never known anyone that told a replicator a secret." Celestia took another sip of the ale. "Then again, I still have yet to meet one that can make a decant bowl of hot plain tomato soup." Celestia said jokingly; well, almost so. She was still smiling. Back to the beginning... "Do I still have to play twenty questions to find out if Arthur said anything more about me?" Celestia was just itching to know how much or often he had talked or mentioned her. It may or may not give a window of opportunity.
There was something Celestia had decided when she had called the wedding off. She had not told a single solitary soul about it or planned to. However; she'd rather spend the rest of her life single if she couldn't marry Art. She loved him so. And more than anything she just wanted him to be happy.

Cadfael laughed heartily. "That's not too strange," he joked. "Considering that telling a replicator a secret and telling it to keep it, if it were programmed to do so, would be a waste of space. Better they enhance it so it can make better meals." The bartender wanted to ask Celestia something, speaking of that. "Speaking of meals," he said with a smile. "Our Commander will be sampling some of our fine pub food tonight."
"Do I still have to play twenty questions to find out if Arthur said anything more about me?" Cadfael started laughing gently. "My dear girl," he said like an old man speaking to his granddaughter would. "You're in it head over heel! Well then, since he is clearly on your mind..."
He leaned in closer and lowered his voice. "He has told me a lot about you. How you're nice, friendly and also somewhat pretty. Don't tell him I told you, but there might be potential." Even though our Commander may be a casanova, and he has spoken fondly of many girls he thought, laughing to himself. None have been so persistent both in his praise as in their pursuit as Celestia Milos. Or so I gather... Who knows? He might even be tempted to attempt to create a couple, whether Art liked his doing so or not.

Celestia gave a slight nod of her head. "Personally I prefer food that has actually been prepared, not using replicated ingredients. They seem to taste better. But of course, being on starships and in todays world you don't get much of it." Celestia stopped to ponder something. It was the Vulcans. "I've sort of been curious about something; you know Vulcans do not touch food with their hands right? Well, if all their replicators went offline do you suppose they'd rather starve before tossing some leaves together to make a salad or something?" "Our Commander will be sampling some of our fine pub food tonight."Celestia glanced down, lightly biting her bottom lip. "I know." She replied looking back up. "He made a promise, and I sort of managed to get an invite when he said: 'just don't call me late for dinner'. I couldn't resist telling Arthur I wouldn't call him 'late for dinner' if he was on time." "You're in it head over heel! Well then, since he is clearly on your mind..."Both comments were 100% true. Arthur was always on Celestia's mind even when she was not thinking of him; if that made any sense. Though it's said when you are in love not too many things make any sense! A very long time ago some Terran even wrote and sang a song and made a video called: Nothing About Love Makes Sense. Celestia had heard it when it got stuck in one of her friends head. She was forced to listen to the song; which was not at all too bad. And all an all Celestia had to agree with the lyrics. Celestia leaned in so she could hear Cadfael better. "He has told me a lot about you. How you're nice, friendly and also somewhat pretty. Don't tell him I told you, but there might be potential."Really?! Pretty? Celestia thought as her face and eyes lighted up just a bit. "I promise. I won't tell even if it means my life. And...potential is one of many words I'd say sticks to Arthur. Just like: fun, sweet, smart, dashing, one of a kind ...heart breaker." She casually shrugged. Tag: Cadfael

Cadfael just nodded with a smile when she told him about Arthur's invite. "I promise. I won't tell even if it means my life. And...potential is one of many words I'd say sticks to Arthur. Just like: fun, sweet, smart, dashing, one of a kind ...heart breaker." She really heaped on the praise. It was really serious, Cadfael observed. "Whoa, Commander," he said laughing. "He is human, you know."

"Don't tell me you're xenophobic." Celestia very lightly teased. There was a history in the past even with some Starfleet officers and such only taking to their own species. But she didn't think Cadfael was like that. You could not run a pub, assigned to the Delta Quadrant, and be retired from Starfleet if you only wanted to be with your own species! "I'm half Human ya know. I embrace that side over my Bajoran heritage; which my mother has never liked."
